Fuel gauge

Function: indicates the stock of fuel in the fuel tank.

Structure: it is composed of sensor (float) and indicator. The sensor is composed of variable resistance and float. When the float floats in the fuel, it can directly feel the change of fuel quantity. With the change of fuel quantity, the position of the float in the fuel tank changes, which changes the resistance value of the variable resistance and realizes the conversion of non electric quantity into electrical signal. There are two coils with different turns, one is connected in series with the sensor (less turns), the other is connected in parallel with the variable resistor, and there is a pointer between the two coils. When the value of the variable resistance changes, the current through the two coils changes, so as to change the count of the pointer.

The installation method of automobile fuel level is as follows:

1.Open the fuel filler of the fuel tank, observe or test the approximate position of the sensor and internal diaphragm of the fuel tank with a wooden stick and branch;

2.After determining the position, drill a hole on the fuel tank with a drill bit;

3.Put the sensor into the fuel tank from the fuel filler, and clamp the wire harness end of the sensor with iron wire;

4.Apply anti fuel seal glue around the small hole to prevent fuel leakage;

5. Screw on the nut wiring, apply sealant and tighten the cap. The automobile fuel level sensor is also called fuel level sensor or water level sensor. Its working principle is to use the magnetic field generated by the ferrite magnet to control the on-off of the reed contact, convert the change of the measured liquid level into an electrical signal, and output it to connect with the secondary instrument, so as to detect the liquid level height.
