The instrument panel of many models will be equipped with a water temperature gauge. Through the high and low display of the water temperature gauge, we can easily distinguish the high and low of the engine water temperature, but how many grids of the car water temperature gauge are normal? Depending on the specific situation, different models will vary. Grid 2-4 of the automobile water temperature gauge is the normal range, that is, the temperature is between 90-110℃. However, the water temperature gauge on some models has only one grid, so it is normal as long as the pointer of the water temperature gauge is in the middle position.

In addition, we should know that on most automobile water temperature meters, there will be two English letters marked with C and h, or divided by white and red areas. C represents cold and H represents heat. If the pointer of the water temperature gauge approaches h or the red dangerous area, the water temperature alarm light will be on in severe cases, which means that the engine coolant is too high.

The temperature of the water temperature gauge is too high. The common main reasons are liquid leakage, insufficient coolant, circulating water pump failure, cooling fan failure, etc. When the engine temperature is too high, the vehicle cannot continue to drive, otherwise it will aggravate the wear of various components, such as water pipe rupture, radiator leakage, cylinder pulling and other consequences, and even cause the engine to be scrapped. 1. First find a safe and cool place to stop the car and let the vehicle idle without stalling;
2. Then open the engine cover to make the water temperature drop, and then unscrew the radiator water cap for the first gear, and then open it after the internal steam pressure is completely discharged;
3. Check whether the liquid and fan in the radiator are abnormal, and check whether the connecting pipeline of the water tank leaks and whether the coolant is sufficient. If there is no coolant on the vehicle, mineral water can be used instead;
4. If it is caused by the failure of water pump and thermostat, ask for rescue as soon as possible.

However, it should be noted that the lower the engine water temperature is, the better. If the engine water temperature is low, it will cause insufficient combustion of engine mixture, low power, poor lubrication and excessive emission.
