how to install a tachometer on a carbureted car

When we install a tachometer on a carbureted car, how to do ?

1.Selection of measurement channel

When the instrument is powered on with the battery, it defaults to the"CHA" channel. Gently touch the"Cha/ CHB" key to change the power between the two measures of"CHA and CHB" (the instrument defaults to the last setting state as long as the battery isn't dissociated for the coming power on). When switching to"CHA", elect the dimension speed. At this time, the words"CHA"and"RPM"are displayed on the display Elect temperature dimension when"CHB"is displayed, and"CHB"is displayed on the display .

2. Selection of measurement unit

For speed measurement, the display unit is fixed as "PRM". For temperature measurement, touch the "℃ / ℉" key to switch between ℃ and ℉ Switching to "℃" means that the current test unit is ℃. Switching to "℉" means that the current test unit is ℉.

3. Measure the number of cylinders and stroke setting

Install the battery and start up. The default is to measure the multi cylinder speed, and the toilet measuring stroke is 2 strokes_ The measuring stroke is 2 strokes and the number of cylinders is 2. Touch the CYL key to enter the cylinder number and stroke setting state, and the word "CYL" is displayed on the screen.

4. Setting method of upper and lower limits of measuring range

Touch the "set" key to enter the upper limit setting state. At this time, the display screen alternately displays the English symbol "Hi" of the upper limit setting state and the current range upper limit. The English prompt symbol is displayed first, and then the range upper limit is displayed .

How to install the tachometer correctly

1. According to the specific situation of the measured rotating object, select the appropriate connector, such as rubber joint, etc.

2. Use the rotary range switch to select the appropriate range. If the unknown quantity is measured, select * large range for rough measurement, and then determine the measuring range.

3. Make the test shaft of the tachometer contact with the tested shaft, keep a certain pressure and operate synchronously, and keep it on the same center line.

4. After the pointer of the tachometer is stable, the speed of the measured rotating object can be measured. The speed is equal to the ratio of the upper range selected by the range switch to the full range of the reading disk multiplied by the reading of the reading disk.

5. When measuring the linear speed, the runner test head shall be used.

The measured reading is converted according to the following formula: linear speed (M / min) = (upper range selected by range switch / full range of reading disk) × Tachometer × Circumference of runner test head.
