how to test a fuel level gauge
Install the fuel level gauge on the vertical power distribution board, and connect the standard sensor and 12.5V DC power supply to the gauge. Put the sensor float lever at the positions corresponding to "0", "1/2" and "1" in the fuel tank, and check the pointer of the gasoline gauge. If the pointer does not match the scale, loosen the screw fixing the left iron core and move the iron core seat up and down to adjust. If the iron core is moved down to approach the armature, the pointer on the watch will deviate in the direction of smaller reading; if the iron core is moved up, the pointer will deviate in the direction of larger reading. If the pointer cannot match the maximum scale line "1", loosen the adjusting screw that fixes the right iron core frame, move the iron core down, and strengthen the magnetic force acting on the armature. Therefore, the angle of the gasoline gauge pointer to the right is relatively high. If it is large, the pointer points to the "1" scale line; otherwise, it can be adjusted in the opposite direction.
The pointer-type fuel level gauge detects the fuel level by observing the pointer's direction. The fuel gauge will be marked with two letters: E, F. F means full and E means insufficient. When the fuel icon on the fuel gauge lights up, it means that the car has not much fuel left and needs to be refueled in time. The digital fuel gauge detects the fuel level by observing the number of illuminated bars. When the remaining fuel is sufficient, the more bars are illuminated. When there are only 1-2 grids left in the oil table, it means that the amount of oil is low and needs to be refueled in time.
There is a float in the car's fuel tank. By using the float, lever and sliding rheostat, the gasoline in the car's fuel tank can be measured. When the car is running low on fuel, the fuel indicator lights up, indicating that the fuel should be replenished in time. If the car is in a state of low fuel volume for a long time, it will not be able to cool down the oil pump of the car in time, causing damage to the oil pump, thereby reducing the service life of the car. Therefore, when the fuel indicator light is on, we must know the fuel consumption of the car and the number of kilometers that can still be driven, and find the gas station to replenish the fuel in time.
