my led water temp gauge malfunction

My led water temp gauge malfunction, it is not work. You can read the data stream. Generally, this is caused by the lack of temperature signal from the water temperature sensor. It is suspected that the cause is the circuit. It may also be that the thermostat is damaged, the water pump is damaged, the coolant is missing, the water pump belt is loose, the sensor is damaged, the water temperature gauge is damaged, etc.

Use a multimeter to check the vehicle water temperature sensor (1). Turn off the ignition switch, remove the connector of the sensor, and test the resistance of the two terminals of the sensor with Rx1 gear of the special multimeter. The resistance value of the automobile water temperature sensor is inversely proportional to the temperature. (2) Single piece inspection. Remove the vehicle water temperature sensor wire connector, and then remove the sensor from the engine. Place the sensor in the water in the beaker and heat the water in the beaker. As the temperature rises gradually. Measure the resistance value of the sensor with the resistance block of the multimeter, and compare the measured value with the standard value. If not, replace the vehicle water temp sensor.

Install the vehicle water temperature sensor and plug the connector of the sensor. Measure the output signal voltage. The measured voltage should vary inversely with the coolant temperature. Remove the harness plug of the coolant temperature sensor, turn on the ignition switch, and measure the power supply voltage of the cooling temperature sensor to be 5V.

Check the resistance value of the connecting wire between the automobile water temperature sensor and ECU. Use a high impedance multimeter to measure the resistance value of the two connecting harnesses between the automobile water temperature sensor and ECU. The circuit should be connected. If the circuit is not conductive or the resistance value is greater than the specified value, it indicates that the sensor harness is open circuited or the connector connector is in poor contact, which should be further checked or replaced.
