Hazards of low oil pressure
Too low engine oil will cause poor lubrication on the surface of all parts, increase friction resistance and aggravate the wear of parts. Serious poor lubrication will cause overheating of the engine, lead to malignant mechanical faults of main moving parts, affect the service life of the engine, and even scrap it.If the engine oil pressure is too low, the cylinder wall may be damaged for a long time; The lubrication of crankshaft main bearing and connecting rod bearing is poor, and Bush burning and shaft holding will occur in serious cases. Therefore, when the oil pressure gauge shows that the oil pressure is too low (even 0) and the oil pressure alarm light (or buzzer) gives an alarm, you must stop for inspection and eliminate the fault in time.
Troubleshooting of low engine oil pressure
(1) When the oil pressure warning light gives an alarm or the oil pressure gauge shows that the oil pressure is too low, stop the machine immediately for inspection.First check the oil level, viscosity and quality, and pay attention to whether the oil is polluted by fuel or coolant.
(2) Check the oil pressure indicating device to distinguish whether the oil pressure is too low or the false alarm caused by the failure of the indicating device.Turn on the ignition switch and ground the wire of the oil pressure gauge sensor to the cylinder block. If the oil pressure gauge indicates the maximum pressure or the indicator light is on, it indicates that the oil pressure is good. The fault occurs in the oil pressure sensor or the mechanical part of the lubricating floc.
(3) Install an oil pressure gauge at the position of the oil pressure sensor to detect the oil pressure. Generally, it shall not be lower than 6 when the speed is 1000 rpm 9kpa pay attention to use a special sleeve when removing the oil pressure sensor. At the same time, check the oil pressure at idle speed and medium and high speed of the hot vehicle.
(4) Remove the oil pan, check the filter collector and oil pipeline for blockage and leakage, and remove and check the oil pump to check the working performance of the oil pump.
(5) Check whether the fit clearance of crankshaft main bearing, connecting rod bearing and camshaft bearing is too large.
