This indicator is used to display the pressure condition of the oil in the engine. When the key door is opened and the vehicle starts self-test, the indicator light is on and off after starting. The indicator light is always on, indicating that the engine oil pressure of the vehicle is lower than the specified standard and needs maintenance.

The oil pressure gauge is composed of an oil pressure indicator and an oil pressure sensor. The oil pressure indicator is installed on the instrument panel, and the oil pressure sensor is installed on the engine main oil passage or the oil primary filter, which are connected through wires. During engine operation, the oil pressure gauge refers to the oil pressure in the main oil passage of the engine lubrication system.
For cars, there is generally no oil pressure gauge on the instrument panel. If it is at normal oil pressure, the oil pressure indicator will not light up. If the oil pressure is abnormal, the indicator will light up.
When the oil pressure indicator is always on, it indicates that the oil pressure is too low. The main reasons are insufficient organic oil, impurities in the oil, too thin oil and damage to the oil sensor.If it is found that the engine oil is insufficient and the vehicle has not reached the maintenance time, the simplest thing is to add engine oil of the same brand and model. Remember not to mix different oils, which will change the performance of the oil and can not better protect the engine.
