stewart warner speedometer gear reducer
Gear reducer is mainly used to reduce speed, increase output torque and reduce load inertia. The working principle is that when the output speed of the motor is input from the drive shaft, it will drive the pinion to rotate, and the pinion will drive the big gear to move. The number of teeth of the big gear exceeds that of the small gear, and the speed of the big gear is slower than that of the small gear, and then it is output by the shaft (output shaft) of the big gear to play the role of output deceleration. Use all levels of gear transmission to achieve the purpose of reducing speed to meet the needs of work.
The final drive adjustment includes the following five points:
1. Adjust the preload of the driving gear bearing of the main reducer;
2. Adjust the clearance or preload of the driven gear bearing of the main reducer;
3. Adjust the position of the driving and driven gears of the main reducer to initially ensure the backlash between the two bevel gears;
4. Check and adjust the engagement between the two bevel gears to ensure the correct size and position of the engagement mark;
5. Recheck the backlash between the two bevel gears. If it meets the requirements, complete the adjustment of the main reducer; If the requirements are not met, a new round of adjustment will be carried out.
1. The adjustment method is adjusted by adjusting the small gasket at the end of the spacer between the two bearing inner races. Add shims to reduce the bearing preload; On the contrary, the bearing preload becomes larger. 2. Adjust step (1) to clamp the driving bevel gear with special clamp. (When there is no special fixture, it can also be assembled with a vise.) (2) Assemble the driving bevel gear assembly. In order to eliminate the influence of oil seal friction torque on the detection of bearing preload torque, the bearing cap and oil seal are temporarily not installed. (3) Use a torque wrench to tighten the slotted nut with a torque of 196~245N-m. (4) Check and repeatedly adjust the bearing preload until it meets the technical requirements. (5) After adjustment, reassemble the driving bevel gear assembly according to the technical requirements.
Adjustment contents of the main reducer: 1. Adjust the clearance or preload of the driven gear bearing of the main reducer. 2 Adjust the position of the main and driven gears of the main reducer to initially ensure the backlash between the two bevel gears. 3 Adjust the clearance or preload of the driven gear bearing of the main reducer.
