4. Slowly screw in or out the mixture adjustment screw to the left and right until the engine speed reaches its maximum and runs smoothly.
5. Adjust the idle screw to a speed of 1000 rpm and 1300 rpm. At this point, a tachometer is needed to assist to check the mercury outboard engine speed.
