Odometer not working but speedometer works

1. The odometer does not work.

The reasons are: the flexible shaft is broken, the driving pinion is damaged, the watch is damaged or the connecting nut of the flexible shaft is not fastened. Replace the flexible shaft, the driving pinion, the watch or fasten the connecting nut of the flexible shaft.

2. The odometer pointer is unstable.

The reasons are: the flexible shaft is poor, the watch is damaged, or the locking nut of the flexible shaft is poorly installed. Replace the flexible shaft, the watch, or change the installation Party of the flexible shaft nut law.The odometer does not work, the reading is inaccurate, or there is a shaking fault.First, check whether the flexible shaft and other harnesses are staggered and squeezed. If so, first put the flexible shaft back in place correctly; Check transmission transmission transmission. The wear of the drive pinion of the output shaft and the meshing clearance between the flexible shaft and the drive pinion should be replaced if they are inconsistent; Check the worm gear and worm gear in the meter head the clearance of the rod can be adjusted if it is too large.

The common fault of electronic odometer speedometer is that it doesn't work. The reason is that the sensor is broken or the harness and instrument are faulty.

Odometer not working but speedometer works

(1) Judge whether the sensor or the instrument is faulty.
Unplug the transmitter connector and turn on the ignition switch. The No. 2 electrode connected with the red line on the brown bottom in the connector is extended and pulled out with a self-made wire with a plug.

(2) Judge whether it is instrument or circuit fault

Remove the instrument panel, do not unplug the plug, and measure the three electrodes on the instrument with a multimeter. Turn on the ignition switch, from the No. 26 fuse to the vehicle speed mileage the live line of the meter power supply to the ground should be 12V, measured with the electric limit of the multimeter, and the electric positive of the pulse signal line from the meter to the sensor connector should be zero, the resistance of the grounding electrode to the ground should be zero. If the actual measurement is inconsistent with the above three values, the open circuit fault on the line should be eliminated If there is no fault in the measured line, it indicates that there is a problem with the speedometer, which should be repaired or replaced according to the situation. There is another kind of fault in the speedometer.
