automatic trans oil temp gauge
Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) is an oil specially used for automatic transmission.
The service temperature of automatic transmission oil is - 40 - 170 ℃, with a wide range. Maintaining the oil temperature at about 100 ℃ is the best working temperature.
The automatic transmission oil is generally replaced every 120000 km under normal driving conditions and every 60000 km under bad driving conditions. Try to use the original ATF. Do not mix automatic transmission oil. The model of ATF used in the vehicle maintenance manual can be used. Due to different models of ATF, the friction coefficient is also different. Some automobile manufacturers design targeted oil products according to the technical indexes of automobile transmission. Using such oil products can maintain good mechanical properties and prolong the service life of the transmission.
In addition, the misuse and mixing of automatic transmission oil will cause slipping or early wear of parts.
There are more and more cars equipped with automatic transmission. With the automatic transmission, people can control the car between one foot of oil and one foot of brake. No wonder some people call the automatic stop a "fool car". The main maintenance content of automatic transmission is the inspection and replacement of ATF. The addition, inspection and replacement of automatic transmission oil is actually the maintenance of automatic transmission.
The automatic transmission oil must meet the following requirements when working in the automatic transmission:
a) The efficiency of transmitting power is related to the viscosity and foaming degree of oil. Therefore, the viscosity and foaming degree of oil are required to be appropriate.
b) When ATF works in the automatic transmission, the internal working temperature of the system can reach - 40 - 170 ℃, the flow rate of oil can reach 20m / s, and it is constantly in contact with non-ferrous metals and air, so the oil has high requirements for oxidation resistance.
c) When ATF works in the system, the bearing, gear and other friction pairs in the system must also be lubricated with ATF, so ATF is required to have certain lubrication performance. With the progress of modern automatic transmission technology, its overall size is shrinking, but at the same time, its speed and transmission power must be kept unchanged. Therefore, the larger the proportion of ATF, the better.
