cayenne calibrating fuel level gauge

1. Determine the fuel level

The fuel level measurement shall be carried out under the following conditions: the vehicle is running and the driving distance is more than 50km, the engine is hot (fuel temperature ℃ is higher than 65 ℃), the engine is parked horizontally (engine shutdown time is more than 120s) and the ignition switch is on.

2. Determine the fuel filling amount

The fuel level will reset when the bonnet is opened. If the bonnet is closed, the fuel level can be measured immediately. Requirements: engine fuel temperature ℃ is higher than 65 ℃ and engine shutdown time is more than 120s. If these preconditions are not met, the following information will be displayed on the multi-function display: "fuel level available only after short time/distance". If the vehicle starts immediately after opening the engine compartment lid without meeting the conditions, it must drive at least 50km or shut down the engine for 2min when the engine fuel temperature ℃ is higher than 65 ℃ before calling up the fuel level information on the multi-function display.

Porsche Cayenne engine fuel level observation method:

Check the engine fuel level through the display screen in the combined instrument, call out the fuel level information on the multi-function display, and display it between the minimum and maximum marks. The following is the relevant content introduction: After the bonnet is opened, the fuel level will reset. If the bonnet is closed, the fuel level can be measured immediately. The fuel level can be measured when the ignition is on, when the vehicle is stationary with the engine running, or even when the vehicle is moving. If the bonnet has been opened, the fuel level should only be measured after the vehicle has been driven for at least 10km. The difference between the min and max marks is approximately 1L, and one bar displayed corresponds to a fill volume of 0.251L.

Porsche Cayenne Fuel Gauge Inaccurate:

Dirty fuel gauge sensor. Because the fuel gauge sensor is always soaked in the fuel tank, if the soaking time is too long or the fuel quality is poor, it is easy to make the surface of the sensor adhere to sludge or other dirt. The solution to this problem is relatively simple. The fuel gauge sensor can be removed for cleaning and adjustment. If it needs to be replaced, it should be replaced in time.
