how to install universal motorcycle speedometer

There are two common types of speedometer, mechanical and electronic.Electronic ones are hard to repair without a certain foundation. The mechanical type is relatively simple. Generally, the fault lies in the transmission part, that is, the turbine, worm and tachometer line in the front wheel. During disassembly and inspection, pay attention to whether the teeth of the turbine and worm are seriously worn. Both ends of the surface line should be square. If it is ground into a circle, it should be replaced. If all the above are normal, it is the fault of the watch itself. There are many parts in it that are difficult to repair. It is best to replace them (when checking, insert a new watch line into the square hole of the watch and test whether the watch will rotate to judge whether it is good or bad.)Connect the motorcycle instrument line: the instrument light has two lines, one is the grounding line, and the other is the power line. The power line is connected through the headlamp switch. Turn on the headlamp switch and the instrument light is powered on.

1. If it turns, it indicates that it is the problem of the dial. It may be that the reduction gear in the dial is broken or loose, because there is no separate speed dial to sell, and the assembly can only be replaced; If it doesn't turn, it means that the speed line may be broken or the counting claw in the front axle is worn too much. It can be repaired after sales.

2. You need to remove the front panel and the front cover of the handlebar, then unscrew the screw of the mileage line under the meter, and the mileage line screw on the side of the front wheel, remove the mileage line from the car and install the new one. If only the inside of the thread is broken, and the broken piece can be pulled out, then only pull out the broken piece from the bottom, and then put the new one in, and it can be installed until the end, so as to reduce the number of pieces to be disassembled.Open the front handle cover (headlamp cover) and tighten the screw cap of the speedometer port if it is loose or missing.
