how to wire tachometer

The motorcycle is connected to the tachometer, and the speed line can be connected to the tachometer through the engine speed port. This is mechanical. You can also go to the tachometer through the signal line of the ignition circuit. Lighting a fire once is 1 revolution. This is electronic type !

In the electronic induction tachometer of motorcycle, the speed measuring line is generally connected to the line from the igniter to the high-voltage package. For motorcycles of different brands and models, the color of the wire from the igniter to the high-voltage package is also different, but there are also many black / yellow wires.

You can connect the black / yellow wire of the tachometer to that wire to try. The high-voltage package of the motorcycle has two lines and one line. If it is one line, the black / yellow line can be connected to that line.

If it is two lines, like the car in the figure, there is usually a green line for grounding, then this black / yellow line can be connected to another line except the green line. If other lines are connected correctly, the tachometer should be able to work after starting.

6V motorcycles can also be equipped with inductive tachometers. The wiring of this electronic tachometer is generally connected to the power line of the igniter supplying power to the high-voltage package, and some are connected to the output line of the magneto. As long as the tachometer is appropriate and correctly wired, it is OK to use it normally after installation.

For CG125 motorcycle with electric induction tachometer, the engine tachometer line is generally connected to the line that the igniter supplies power to the high-voltage package. The high-voltage package is generally two lines, one of which is the grounding line. The induction line of the tachometer is generally the other one on the high-voltage package except the grounding line. Look at the one under the engine tachometer that is the same color or connected with the high-voltage package line. If the tachometer is a three wire one, one of the other two is a ground wire and the other is a DC power line.To replace the instrument with an electronic tachometer, the mechanical tachometer cannot be directly changed into an electronic one. The electronic tachometer generally has three wires, one is the grounding wire, grounding or other grounding wires, the other is the power line, which is connected to the power line of the electric door lock to supply power to the whole vehicle, and the last one is connected to the line that the igniter supplies power to the high-voltage package.
