kus fuel gauge calibration

The kus fuel gauge cannot be calibrated. It is not allowed to go to the repair shop or 4S shop to replace the fuel float. Clear the small odometer before refueling the vehicle. After the kus fuel tank is filled with fuel, the fuel consumption can be obtained from the fuel volume data and mileage data. Precautions for using the fuel gauge are as follows:

1. Do not refuel when the alarm light is on, because the gasoline pump is in the oil tank and relies on gasoline for heat dissipation and lubrication. Too little oil will be detrimental to the normal operation of the oil pump and reduce its service life;

2. It is not recommended to top up when refuelling, because gasoline expands when heated and evaporates into gasoline vapor at high temperature in summer, so there needs to be space to contain it. If it is overfilled and there is no space, gasoline vapor or even liquid gasoline will enter the carbon canister for storage, and the carbon canister will escape into the air when it is full, which not only wastes but also pollutes the environment;

3. Indication deviation. If the battery or gasoline filter element is replaced daily, or the vehicle is started again after overnight parking, it may be noticed that the pointer of the kus fuel gauge is lower than the previously displayed position, which is considered as a fault. In fact, it is a normal phenomenon, because when the oil pump is working, there is a negative pressure in the oil tank, the corresponding oil tank volume decreases, the oil level is higher, and in addition, the temperature has a thermal expansion effect on the gasoline, so the natural display is higher. When the temperature drops and the oil tank is opened, the pressure is released, and the oil level drops, so the display deviation is a normal phenomenon. However, the deviation will not exceed one pointer width unable to calibrate.
