lowes or high oil tank fuel level gauge

Common system oil pressure faults include high oil pressure and low oil pressure. Too high oil pressure will make the mixture too rich; Low oil pressure will make the mixture too lean. The cause of the high oil pressure is the failure of the oil pressure regulator or the blockage of the oil return pipe. At this time, remove the oil return pipe of the oil pressure regulator, put a hose on the oil return pipe end of the oil pressure regulator, put the other end of the hose in the container, and start the engine. If the oil pressure is normal at this time, it means that the oil return pipe is blocked; Otherwise, the oil pressure regulator fails.

The causes of low oil pressure are low fuel in the fuel tank, blocked fuel pump filter screen, fuel pump failure, improper installation of fuel pump outlet pipe, blocked fuel filter or failure of oil pressure regulator. Start the engine and run at idle speed, clamp the oil return pipe of the oil pressure regulator and observe the indicated value of the oil pressure gauge. If the oil pressure can rise to more than 100kPa, it indicates that the oil pressure regulator is faulty; If the oil pressure is still too low, check whether the fuel filter is blocked, whether the fuel tank is low or dirty, whether the fuel pipe is installed, and whether the fuel pump filter screen is blocked. If normal, replace the fuel pump. Maximum oil pressure detection : Clamp the oil return pipe to stop the oil return. At this time, the indicated oil pressure of the pressure gauge should be 2-3 times higher than that when the oil return pipe is not clamped; Otherwise, the performance of the fuel pump will decrease and the pump pressure will be insufficient. The fuel pump should be replaced.

Residual voltage detection:

After the engine is stopped, a certain amount of residual oil pressure should be maintained in the pipeline of the multi-point injection system to facilitate restarting. If the residual oil pressure is very low or equal to zero after the engine is stopped, it will cause the fault that it is difficult to start or cannot start. The reason why the residual pressure of the system is very low or zero is that the check valve of the fuel pump is not closed tightly, the oil pressure regulator leaks, the fuel injector leaks or the fuel system pipeline leaks. The inspection steps are as follows: First, visually check whether there is oil leakage in the fuel system pipeline. Then start the engine and run at idle speed, clamp the oil return pipe of the oil pressure regulator, turn off the engine, and observe the pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge. If the oil pressure does not drop, it means that the oil pressure regulator leaks; If the oil pressure still drops, start the engine again and run at idle speed. At the same time, clamp the oil inlet pipe and the oil return pipe of the oil pressure regulator, stop the engine, and observe the oil pressure change after 10 minutes. If the oil pressure drops slowly, it means that the fuel injector leaks oil; If the oil pressure does not drop, it means that the check valve of the fuel pump is not closed tightly. The fuel pump should be removed and inspected. Clean and check the check valve or replace the fuel pump.
