Maintaining normal engine oil pressure is the premise and necessary condition to ensure that all friction parts of the engine can be fully lubricated; Once the oil pressure is found to be too low, stop the vehicle to find out the cause and eliminate it before driving; Otherwise, it is very easy to cause the crankshaft bush to burn and "lock the shaft" due to the low engine oil pressure, and the engine may be scrapped in serious cases.

1、 When the engine is running to detect the oil pressure, if the pointer of the oil pressure gauge swings left and right, it indicates that the oil pressure in the main oil gallery is unstable.

Unstable oil pressure is mainly caused by the following reasons:

(1) Air sucked by the oil pump: the seal is damaged, the oil quantity is insufficient or the oil level is too low.

(2) Insufficient oil absorption of the oil pump: the filter screen of the filter collector is blocked by impurities, or the filter screen cannot completely immerse in the oil due to incorrect installation, or the oil viscosity is too large, which will cause insufficient oil absorption of the oil pump, more oil supply and less oil supply, resulting in unstable oil pressure; The strainer should be checked and cleaned, and the oil should be changed.

(3) The oil return valve cannot work sensitively: the oil return valve is also known as the oil pressure regulating valve. If the spring is seriously rusted or the valve seat is eccentric worn, the spring is broken or severely deformed, the valve core will be stuck and cannot be opened or closed sensitively with the pressure change; The oil return valve can be removed and cleaned to remove rust, and the spring can be replaced if necessary.

Generally, the opening pressure of the oil return valve has been adjusted when the vehicle leaves the factory. Generally, it is not allowed to disassemble or adjust.The engine oil pressure will rise and fall due to the shortage of oil in the oil pan, the oil level at the limit position of the oil suction port of the filter collector, or the impurities in the oil pipe but not completely blocked, which sometimes makes the oil pump suck oil without any other reasons.

(4) Improper assembly of the pressure limiting valve or adhesive makes the oil flow resistance unstable or the oil pressure gauge damaged, which may also cause the oil pressure to go up and down.
