should oil pressure gauge fluctuate
Should oil pressure gauge fluctuate:NO
The oil pressure gauge fluctuate caused by the following reasons:
① The oil pump sucks air.
②The oil pump sucks oil insufficiently.
The filter screen of the collector filter is blocked by impurities, or the filter screen cannot be fully immersed in the oil due to incorrect installation, and the viscosity of the oil used is too large.Insufficient oil absorption by the oil pump, and the oil supply is too long and sometimes too little, resulting in unstable oil pressure. The filter should be checked and cleaned and the oil changed.
③ The oil return valve cannot work sensitively.
The oil return valve is also known as the oil pressure regulating valve. If the spring is seriously corroded or the valve seat is eccentrically worn, the spring is broken or seriously deformed, the valve core will be stuck and cannot be opened and closed sensitively with pressure changes. The oil return valve can be removed and cleaned to remove rust and the spring can be replaced if necessary.
Maintenance tips: The opening pressure of the oil return valve has been debugged when the vehicle leaves the factory. Generally, do not disassemble or adjust it.
How to solve the oil pressure fluctuating high and fluctuating
When the engine is running at idle speed, the oil pressure is normal, and when the engine is running at medium and high speed, the oil pressure fluctuates (the pointer of the oil pressure gauge swings back and forth or vibrates between 0 and 0.6MPa). The main reasons are:
(1) The oil pump is faulty (such as excessive wear of the gear or falling off of the fixing screw), and the oil pump sucks air. When the engine runs at high speed, the suction of the oil pump increases, and the air enters from the place where the oil pipeline is not tightly sealed. Due to the compressibility of the air, the oil pressure fluctuates (no oil pressure when the air intake is serious).
(2) The spring of the regulating valve or oil return valve is stuck by foreign objects, or the spring is bent and rubbed against the seat hole, which hinders the movement of the spring and makes it difficult to open and close the ball valve. When the oil pressure in the main oil passage rises and the ball valve is opened, the pressure in the main oil passage is known, but due to the blocking effect of the bullet, the oil pressure drops until the oil pressure drops.
The ball valve closes when it is very low or even close to dry zero, then the oil pressure in the main oil passage rises again, and the ball valve opens again.
