Fault diagnosis and treatment of high oil pressure:
First check whether the viscosity of the engine oil is too high, which can be judged by the hand feeling method. Then check whether the oil filter element is too dirty and replace it if necessary. If the oil gauge index is still high, check the spring pressure of the pressure limiting valve, oil return valve and safety valve on the oil pump test bench, replace the ball valve and grind the working surface of the valve seat if necessary. If the clearance of the main bearing or connecting rod bearing is too small, it should be reassembled and run in strictly. In the initial stage of running-in operation, heavy load, especially overload operation should be avoided.
Diagnostic steps:
First, take out the oil dipstick to observe whether the viscosity of the oil is too high, and replace the appropriate oil if the viscosity is too high. For newly repaired engines, consider whether the bearings are too tight and recheck the adjustment. Check whether the stiffness of the main and auxiliary oil circuits and the safety valve spring of the oil pump is too large. The cementation of the plunger of the pressure regulating valve will also make the safety valve unable to open, so it should be adjusted, cleaned and replaced in time. For engines that have been used for a long time and have not been maintained in time, check and clean the oil passage and fuel injectors to eliminate the blockage of the oil passage outlet.
Troubleshooting method for high oil pressure:
1. If it is a new construction machinery or an engine after warranty, the oil pressure is obviously too high, indicating that the matching gap between the journal of the pressure lubrication part and the bearing (tile) is too small, or the adjustment pressure of the pressure limiting valve is too high, and the pressure should be carefully checked The clearance between the journal of the lubricating part and the bearing. If the gap is too small, it should be adjusted or scraped to avoid burning the matching pair due to the small gap.
2. If the oil pressure of the diesel engine used for a long time is too high, it means that the fine oil filter is clogged and should be cleaned.
3. If the oil pressure of the diesel engine is too high when the temperature is low, and the oil pressure is normal when the engine temperature rises, it means that the reason for the high oil pressure is the low temperature of the diesel engine.
4. If the oil pressure is obviously too high after the oil change, it means that the oil brand is not selected properly. To change the oil suitable for seasonal use.
