2008 ultra classic oil temp gauge stuck on 110

The oil temperature of 110 degrees is abnormal.

1. The normal working temperature of internal combustion engine oil is generally 70-90 ℃, and the local temperature is relatively high.

2. Generally, it will not exceed the water temperature. In addition, the speed is fast and the temperature will be relatively high, reaching about 100 ° - 110 °.

3. However, if there is a tendency to exceed 120 ° for a long time, check it;

4. The fault of too high oil temperature is a comprehensive fault and a defect of coolant. The cooling radiator is blocked, and the circulating resistance of coolant is increased due to scale or dirt;

5. The fan belt is loosened, causing insufficient cold air passing through the water tank. The pump belt is loose or the water pump impeller is damaged, resulting in a decrease in coolant flow. If the concentration of anti freezing coolant is too high, the thermostat will fail. When the temperature rises, the thermostat will not open. Air enters the cooling system. The exhaust switch shall be used here to exhaust air;

6. The scale or dirt in the diesel engine body is blocked, and the cylinder head and cylinder bed are damaged, which makes the cylinder and water channel channeling. At this time, not only the temperature is high, but also there are bubbles in the coolant; In severe cases, "water pouring" fault will occur, and the engine power is insufficient.

As a kind of machinery, internal combustion engine has common requirements for lubricating oil compared with general machinery, such as appropriate viscosity, certain anti-oxidation, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, temperature and other performance requirements. The engine is a special kind of machinery, and its requirements for lubricating oil have its own special aspects, mainly including:

1) The overall requirements for the engine are small size, light weight, compact structure and large output power, so that the unit friction surface can bear a large load. In addition to friction heat, it is also affected by combustion heat, so the temperature of friction surface is very high, which reduces the viscosity of lubricating oil and makes it difficult to form oil film.

2) The high-temperature and high-pressure gas burning in the combustion chamber leaks to the crankcase through the gap between the piston, piston ring and cylinder liner.These combustion gases are the gas and some particles (cigarette butts) generated when the fuel and a small amount of lubricating oil are fully burned. They usually become the main component of crankcase leakage, which will pollute the lubricating oil and oxidize it under certain conditions.
