The boat voltage gauge can reflect the power of the battery. The engine cannot be started when the starter is turned on, and the engine is at normal temperature. Connect a voltmeter to the positive and negative electrodes of the battery and pull out the fuel injector wires. Start the engine and run it continuously for 5~10 seconds to observe the degree of the voltmeter. If the starter and the line are well connected, and the 12V battery voltage is 9.6 V or higher, it indicates that the battery is in good technical condition. On the contrary, if the voltage is lower than the above value, it means that the battery is in a state of power loss and insufficient storage capacity.

To check the boat storage capacity of the battery, just use the voltage gauge or the voltage gear of the multimeter without load to check whether the storage capacity of the battery is sufficient. Only measure the voltage, consume less power and consume less current, so there will be no large pressure inside the battery. The voltage displayed by the voltmeter is not low, plus a certain amount of load (for example, turn on the headlights (load current 10~15A), and honk the horn (load current 6~12A)). The battery will dim the light and make the horn hoarse, indicating insufficient power storage.
Under normal conditions, the boat battery voltage of the ship before startup is between 11.8V and 12.8V , and the battery voltage after startup is between 13.2-14.8V. As long as the voltage during startup is not lower than 11V, it is considered as normal voltage. However, the 12V battery voltage is not fixed and is generally higher. Too high or too low voltage of marine battery will cause certain influence. Usually, check the use of the battery . Once the baot battery voltage is lower than 10.8V, it needs to be charged in time. If the battery voltage is too low, the ship will be difficult to start or even unable to start. If the battery voltage is too high, the battery may be damaged.
