checking oil pressure gauge
The oil pressure can be measured with a special oil pressure gauge or with an ordinary oil pressure gauge (with a range of about impa) equipped with corresponding high-pressure hoses and connectors.
The methods to measure the oil pressure are as follows:
(1)unplug the harness plug of the oil pressure sensor and remove the oil pressure sensor.
(2) Screw the hose connector of the oil pressure gauge into the screw hole for installing the oil pressure sensor and tighten the connector.
(3)Place the oil pressure gauge in a place that will not contact the rotating parts and high-temperature parts of the engine.
(4)Start the engine and check whether there is oil leakage at the joint of the oil pressure gauge. If there is oil leakage, turn off the engine and retighten the joint.
(5) Run the engine to reach the normal operating temperature, check the reading of the oil pressure gauge at idle speed and 2000 R / min respectively, and compare it with the standard pressure value. The oil pressure standards of engines of various models are not exactly the same. Generally, the oil pressure at idle speed should be greater than 0.05Mpa and 2000r / min. It should be greater than 0.2 MPa. After measuring the oil pressure, remove the oil pressure gauge, install the oil pressure sensor, tighten it according to the specified torque, and connect the harness plug. Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage from the oil pressure sensor.
The oil pressure shall be measured and checked with a special oil pressure gauge. The measurement method is as follows:
One:Unplug the harness plug of the oil pressure sensor and remove the oil pressure sensor;
Two:Screw the hose connector of the oil pressure gauge into the screw hole for installing the oil pressure sensor, and tighten the connector;
Three:Place the oil pressure gauge in a place that will not contact the rotating parts and high-temperature parts of the engine.
Various factors that affect the oil pressure
1. Oil pump performance, pressure limiting valve adjustment, oil passage, filter and working temperature affect oil pressure.
2. Speed, common speed, the oil pressure of gasoline engine should be 0.2 ~ 0.4MPa. When starting at low temperature, it is allowed to reach 0.45MPa. After the engine temperature rises, it is allowed to drop to 0.15Mpa, while the oil pressure of diesel engine should be 0.29 ~ 0.59mpa.
Low pressure: the oil filter and filter are blocked; The spring of pressure limiting valve or bypass valve is too soft and broken; Poor operation of oil pump; Oil viscosity is too low;
High pressure: the oil viscosity is too high; The lubricating oil passage is blocked; The oil filter element is blocked and the bypass valve is opened.
