The marine fuel gauge and sender kit sensor need to work together . Even when the diesel generator set is shut down, fuel is not allowed to flow into the diesel engine by gravity through the fuel inlet pipe or fuel injection pipe. The oil tank must be stored in a safe place to prevent fire. The oil tank or oil drum shall be placed in a visible place separately, properly away from the diesel generator set, and smoking is strictly prohibited.
The sensor is resistive, with the red wire connected to the signal and the blue wire connected to the negative pole. After the oil tank is placed, the highest oil level shall not be 2.5 meters higher than the diesel generator set base. If the oil level of the large oil depot is higher than 2.5 meters, a daily oil tank shall be added between the large oil depot and the diesel generator set so that the pressure of direct oil delivery is not more than 2.5 meters.
This often happens to some ships when they are in use: after the fuel tank is filled with oil, the fuel warning light is on. In order to eliminate hidden trouble, many users replace the oil level sensor. After filling up the oil, the float rises so high that the contact between the oil level sensor and the sliding vane reaches the edge position, sometimes even disengages, so that the resistance will be very large, which is equivalent to the position when the oil is lacking, and the fuel warning light will naturally alarm. At this time, wrap a few silk cotton threads on the float arm limit block of the oil level sensor, so that when the float arm contacts the limit plate, the contact and the slider do not come off, and the pointer of the oil gauge will correspondingly indicate that the oil tank is full without giving an alarm.
The fuel gauge can also be adjusted during driving. Under normal operation, the engine and three-way catalyst can open and close the fuel tank through the air flow, sometimes making the fuel gauge accurate. This method is called air pressure regulation. Replace the sensor. If the oil gauge scale of a new ship suddenly drops to zero, it indicates that there is a problem with the sensor, which can be replaced directly. If it is an old car, the oil level sensor should be cleaned in time.
