Cause analysis of high oil pressure excessive oil viscosity:
The viscosity of the oil indicates the resistance of the oil to flow. The oil viscosity is related to the engine temperature. When the engine temperature is low, the oil viscosity is high; Conversely, when the engine temperature is high, the oil viscosity is small. When the oil viscosity is high, the fluidity is poor, but the sealing performance is good and the leakage is small less. If the oil viscosity exceeds the specified value, the flow resistance of oil in the lubrication system will increase and the pressure will increase at the same time. Therefore, when the engine temperature is low or the viscosity of the oil itself is high (due to the improper selection of the oil brand, that is, the oil brand is not suitable for the ambient temperature, such as the oil with high viscosity in summer is selected in winter), the oil pressure will be high.
The oil filter is blocked
When the oil cannot flow due to the blockage of the filter, the safety valve arranged on the filter base is pushed open, and the oil will enter the main oil passage directly without filtering. If the opening pressure of the safety valve is adjusted too high, when the filter is blocked, it can not be pushed open in time. Dry, the pressure of the oil pump increases, the internal leakage increases, and the oil supply to the main oil passage decreases accordingly, resulting in the decrease of oil pressure. Always keep the oil filter clean; Correctly adjust the opening pressure of the safety valve (generally 0.35-0.45mpa); Timely replace the spring of the safety valve or grind the mating surface between the steel ball and the valve seat to restore its normal working performance
Troubleshooting for high oil pressure:
(1) if the engine oil pressure is obviously too high for the construction machinery newly put into use or the engine after warranty, it indicates that the matching clearance between the journal and the bearing (tile) at the pressure lubrication part is too small, or the adjustment pressure of the pressure limiting valve is too high. Carefully check the clearance between the journal and the bearing at the pressure lubrication part.
(2) If the oil pressure of a long used diesel engine is too high, it indicates that the fine oil filter is blocked and should be cleaned.
(3) If the engine oil pressure is too high when the diesel engine is at low temperature, and the engine oil pressure is normal when the engine temperature rises, it indicates that the reason for the high engine oil pressure is due to the low temperature of the diesel engine.
4) If the oil pressure is significantly too high after changing the oil, it indicates that the oil brand is not selected properly. For example, oil with higher viscosity is selected in winter. Namely too much oil will cause excessive oil pressure. Replace the oil suitable for seasonality. The higher the oil grade (the greater the number), the smaller the viscosity. On the contrary, the higher the oil viscosity. Hc-14 engine oil can be selected for general ambient temperature. HC-11 and hc-8 oils with low freezing point can be selected in cold northern areas.
