oil pressure gauge stuck on 80:When the engine is working, the oil pressure warning light on the instrument panel lights or flashes (as shown in the figure below), or the reading of the oil pressure gauge is always lower than the specified value. Shut down for further detailed inspection.

If the oil quality of the lubricating oil is very poor, the oil and filter should be replaced, and the lubrication system should be cleaned if necessary. If no abnormal sound is found in the above basic inspection, remove the oil pressure sensor or the blind plug of the main oil passage and connect the oil pressure gauge. ▲Connect the oil pressure gauge to the screw hole of the oil pressure sensor. When the engine oil temperature is above 80°C and the speed is about 2000r/min, the general oil pressure should not be lower than 200kPa (for details, please refer to the maintenance manual of the corresponding model). If the oil pressure value complies with the regulations, it means that the fault is on the circuit of the oil pressure alarm system, which is a false alarm, and the relevant components or circuits of the oil pressure alarm system should be checked; if the oil pressure is significantly lower than the normal value or zero, it means that the pressure lubrication system has a real If the failure occurs, the oil pump, pressure limiting valve, filter, and even the oil passage of the lubrication system should be further checked. If the lubrication system is normal, it is necessary to check the fitting clearance of the crankshaft main bearing, connecting rod bearing and camshaft bearing. Auscultation should be noted.

Under the normal working temperature and speed of the engine, the reading of the oil pressure gauge is always higher than the specified value (for example, the maximum oil pressure of some models is not higher than 500~700kPa), or the fragile parts such as the oil pressure sensor are broken and so on.

Cause of failure

◆ The oil level is too high or the oil viscosity is too large;

◆ The oil pressure gauge, sensor or circuit failure leads to false alarm;

◆ The oil filter or lubricating oil passage is blocked;

◆ Failure of the oil pump pressure limiting valve;

◆ The bearing clearance of the newly installed engine is too small.
