replaced water temp gauge, now the oil gauge and fuel gauge don't work

It should be that the instrument panel computer crashes or the overall power supply system of the instrument panel module and the connection of the signal input bus have problems. First measure the fuse, then open the engine compartment, disconnect the battery circuit, and then ignite, everything will return to normal. Different cars have different instruments. But the conventional instruments of ordinary cars include speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, fuel gauge, charging gauge, etc. Various indicator lights or warning lights are made under the facial mask on the dashboard of modern cars, such as coolant level warning light, fuel volume indicator light, washer level indicator light, charging indicator light, high and low beam dimming indicator light, transmission gear indicator light, brake anti lock system (ABS) indicator light, driving force control indicator light, airbag (SRS) warning light, etc. Extended data: There are three possibilities for the water temperature gauge to fail: 1. The water temperature gauge sensor is damaged and needs to be replaced. 2. If the relevant plug is loose or open circuit, repair the circuit. 3. The water temperature gauge is damaged and the instrument assembly needs to be replaced.

There are two situations when the oil gauge and water temperature gauge do not move: 1. The circuit is disconnected or the fuse of the management instrument is burnt out; 2. Check the sensor. Inspection method: connect the live wire of the sensor to the engine and observe the instrument. If the instrument ends, it indicates that the sensor is invalid. If it still does not move, you should go to professional car circuit repair and check the circuit.

How to check:

If two or more instruments in the fuel gauge, coolant temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge do not work, how to diagnose and eliminate the problem? If two or more instruments do not work at the same time, check the instrument fuse and power regulator. If the instrument fuse is normal, check the power regulator. Take Audi as an example, measure the voltage between output terminal 3 and ground terminal 2, and the voltmeter reading should be 9.75~10.5V, otherwise replace the voltage regulator; Measure the voltage between input terminal 1 and ground terminal 2. The reading of the voltmeter should be the power supply voltage, otherwise check and repair the circuit.
