transmission oil temp gauge install 4l60e

How to improve the performance of 4l60e series transmission? Generally, we need to divide the modification into three levels according to the cost budget and engine power. The first level is light refitting, which is mainly aimed at ordinary vehicle power refitting enthusiasts, and mainly involves the improvement of supercharger and server. The gearbox does not need to be removed from the vehicle, nor does it need to disassemble the valve body separately. The operation is simple and the cost is the lowest. The second level is medium-sized refitting, which is applicable to refitted vehicles below 450hp. The most important one is the high-performance renovation package (hp-4l60e-01), which has been refitted from the shell to the valve body, and the gearbox needs to be removed from the vehicle and disassembled. The third level is the ultimate modification, which is applicable to vehicles with extremely high power above 450hp. In addition to the improvements in the first two levels, it also adds specially designed high-strength input drum and output shaft and planetary gear with special transmission ratio, which can easily meet the extreme torque requirements and achieve the highest strength and service life. Now let's take a specific look at the parts involved in these three modification levels.

Main oil pressure booster valve (4l60e-lb2). The booster valve is located on the oil pump of the gearbox. The booster spring used by the high-performance booster valve is harder than the ordinary one. More importantly, the booster ratio of its valve core is higher than the ordinary one, so that the main oil pressure of the system can respond to the driving demand in time and boost rapidly. Its performance improvement is reflected in: the shift becomes faster, and the clutch and brake belt of the transmission can transmit greater torque, which overcomes the common problem of clutch slipping and burning. At the same time, with the increase of oil pressure, the oil pump will not be damaged early due to excessive load at idle speed.

The server is one of the most common failure points of this series of transmissions. The brake belt wraps the clutch drum under the push of the server to produce the effect of clutch braking. However, ordinary servers often can not produce enough thrust, and the brake belt can not produce the effect of complete braking on the clutch, which often leads to poor 3-4 shift quality and burnout of the clutch and brake belt. There are two servers. Figure 3 shows a 4-gear server (77767k), and Figure 4 shows a 2-gear server (77911-03k). These servers are redesigned and improved. The purpose is to increase the thrust by 40%, so as to ensure that the clutch can be fully braked by the brake belt when transmitting super torque. The effect is that the shift speed is faster (more streamlined 1-2,2-3,3-4 shift quality), and the service life of clutch and brake belt is significantly increased. Other enhancements and modifications include a slightly modified 2nd and 4th gear server, and a redesigned high-performance brake band. The brake belt in Figure 15 can increase the fastening force by 15%, and the strength of the joint with the shell is enhanced by 60%, so as to prevent the brake belt from breaking under heavy load.
