how to cheak fuel level gauge in big truck

The fuel tank float is a sliding rheostat. The resistance value of the rheostat is adjusted by the amount of fuel. According to the different models, one is black, the other is two-color, and black is negative, that is to say, it is grounded, and the two-color is connected to the instrument of the center console through the harness

The correct time is: after the engine is turned off, stand for 15 minutes and then check the oil dipstick. If you need to check frequently, you can check it before starting the vehicle in the morning. The oil level at this time is also accurate.

1. When checking the oil dipstick, be sure to confirm that the four wheels of the car are parked at the same level, that is to say, there should be no inclination in the front, rear, left and right sides. The reason is that once the body is tilted, the oil level in the oil pan will change, and the measurement result will be inaccurate.
There is a relatively simple way to judge is to park the car, do not pull the handbrake in neutral, if the car can stop, it is basically horizontal (the situation of tilting left and right can be judged by the naked eye)

2: The function of the oil dipstick is to measure the height of the static liquid level of the oil, thus reflecting whether the oil level of the engine is within a reasonable range. Conventional oil dipsticks will have obvious upper and lower limits, as long as the detected oil level is between the top and bottom That's it. Of course it would be best if it could be in the middle.

One thing to note here is that the more oil the better, the higher the oil level, the greater the resistance of the engine (because the crankshaft needs to keep stirring the oil in the sump to achieve splash lubrication), ideally, The liquid level can be kept a little lower in the middle position. At this time, the resistance of the engine is the least and the fuel consumption is the lowest, and the lubricating performance can also be kept stable.

The oil level has exceeded the upper limit of the oil dipstick. In this case, not only will the resistance of the engine crankshaft increase, but also the excessively splashed oil will enter the combustion chamber from the crankcase, causing part of the oil to participate in combustion and causing carbon deposition in the exhaust system .
