how to check car fuel level broken gauge

The fuel gauge is divided into two types: pointer type and digital type. As the name implies, the pointer type means that the amount of fuel is indicated by the position of the pointer; while the digital type indicates the amount of remaining fuel through the length of the cruising range. Pointer fuel gauge, pointer to F, indicating that the fuel tank is full. The closer to E, the lower the right side, that is, the less oil.

Both pointer and digital fuel gauges need to be read after starting the vehicle. The pointer fuel gauge is marked with two letters E and F. E is the initial letter of Empty, which means empty; F is the initial letter of Full , means full. The closer the pointer is to the letter F, the more remaining oil, and the closer the pointer is to the letter E, the less remaining oil. When the fuel icon lights up, it means that the remaining fuel is low and needs to be refueled as soon as possible. The digital fuel gauge indicates the remaining fuel level by the cruising range and the number of bars on the dial. The more cruising range or the number of lights on the dial, it means that the remaining oil is sufficient. The lower the mileage number or the number of lights on the dial is 1-2 bars, it means that the oil level is low and needs to be replenished in time.

Reasons why the fuel gauge cannot work:

1. The oil quantity sensor is in the fuel tank, together with the gasoline filter. If it has a problem and cannot transmit the correct resistance value, it may cause the fuel gauge to not display.
2. There is a problem with the oil gauge itself, which can be easily ruled out, just replace it with a water temperature gauge to know whether it is the problem.
3. The problem of the instrument panel circuit drive can be judged by replacing the watch movement.
4. The problem of the sensor connection line. These problems are not easy to solve personally, it is recommended to go to a repair shop or 4S shop for repair.
