how to check oil pressure without gauge
When testing, first remove the oil pressure sensor on the main lubricating oil passage of the engine, install the oil pressure gauge, and then start the engine to run at the specified speed. At this time, the indicated value on the oil pressure gauge is the oil pressure of the lubrication system.
Test value standard:
Gasoline engine oil pressure should be 196~392Kp;
Diesel engine oil pressure should be 294~588Kp.
Commonly used detection methods (measure with an ordinary oil pressure gauge (with a range of about 1MPa) and corresponding high-pressure hoses and joints)
The oil pressure standards of various types of engines are not exactly the same. Generally, it should be greater than 0.05MPa at idle speed, and should be greater than 0.2MPa at 2000r/min. After measuring the oil pressure, remove the oil pressure gauge, install the oil pressure sensor, tighten it with the specified torque, and connect the harness plug. Start the engine and check that the oil pressure sensor is not leaking oil.
The oil pressure can be measured with a special oil pressure gauge, or with a common oil pressure gauge (with a range of about 1MPa) with corresponding high-pressure hoses and joints. The method of measuring the oil pressure is as follows:
(1)Unplug the wiring harness connector of the oil pressure sensor, and remove the oil pressure sensor.
(2)Screw the hose connector of the oil pressure gauge into the screw hole where the oil pressure sensor is installed, and tighten the connector.
(3)Place the oil pressure gauge in a place where it will not come into contact with the rotating parts and high-temperature parts of the engine.
(4)Start the engine and check whether there is oil leakage at the joint of the oil pressure gauge. If there is oil leakage, turn off the engine and re-tighten the joint.
(5) Run the engine to make it reach the normal working temperature, check the reading of the oil pressure gauge at idle speed and 2 000r/min respectively, and compare it with the standard pressure value. The oil pressure standards of various types of engines are not exactly the same. Generally, it should be greater than 0.05MPa at idle speed and 2000r/min. should be greater than 0.2 M Pa. After measuring the oil pressure, remove the oil pressure gauge, install the oil pressure sensor, tighten it with the specified torque, and connect the harness plug. Start the engine and check that the oil pressure sensor is not leaking oil.
