how to install aftermarket water temp gauge

There are two installation methods for aftermarket water temp gauges on the market now, one is a mechanical water temperature gauge, and the other is an electronic water temperature gauge. If it is a mechanical water temperature gauge, it is necessary to insert the temperature sensor into the coolant pipe and then connect the moving needle to the water temperature gauge. During installation, attention should be paid to preventing inaccurate data caused by shock or vibration of the water temperature gauge. If it is an electronic water temperature gauge, first find the wiring of the car, then install the corresponding electronic module in the control valve compartment, and finally connect the electronic module to the dashboard.

Before installing the aftermarket water temp gauge, it is necessary to carefully read the instruction manual of the water temperature gauge, understand the correct installation method and testing method, and confirm whether the required materials are complete before installation to ensure the safety and correctness of the installation operation. Find the water pipe for the car engine, find a suitable position on the water pipe, cut it off with a tool, and leave an appropriate length for installing the water temperature gauge. Next, insert the sensor of the water temperature gauge into the cut off water pipe and secure it with a clip. Connect the power cord of the water temperature gauge to the circuit of the forklift and connect it to the ignition switch. Then install the display of the water temperature gauge on the dashboard of the forklift, usually fixed with screws. Finally, after all lines are connected, start the forklift and observe whether the reading of the water temperature gauge is normal.

Adding water to the water tank is a necessary item for your daily inspection. If you look at the water temperature gauge, it is when it reaches the red line. However, it is a bit late. If the water temperature reaches the red line, it indicates that the car is malfunctioning, and the water temperature generally does not reach the red line. The most suitable temperature for diesel engine operation is 75-95 ℃. The water tank is located outside the engine and is used for engine cooling, which is slightly lower than the temperature in the internal water channel of the engine. Just started, the water temperature is similar to the temperature, and it is normal to reach a maximum of 95 ℃.
