how to put a tachometer on a diesel
Tools: prepare an iron wire of more than 30cm, preferably bend a buckle with pliers, and prepare an internal six flower screwdriver.
Steps of how to put a tachometer on a diesel:
1.Pull down the trim panel by hand from the front and middle of the trim panel. There are two expansion screws under the instrument panel. Lift the middle cylinder by hand to remove the screws. The two are the same.
2.Remove the trim panel and keep it for future use. Remove the tachometer and cover it again. It is beautiful. Pull the instrument panel in a straight line towards your body and shake it slightly left and right to remove it. The tachometer and clock plug shall be wrapped with white tape.
3.Use iron wire to lead the tachometer plug to the instrument panel and plug it in. The tachometer rotates and stabilizes between 800-900 revolutions, indicating that the instrument is in good condition. Install the instrument panel back to its original position and replace the two screws just removed.
4.Screw the screw into the reserved position between the tachometer and the clock with a screwdriver, and fasten the cover plate.
5.Adjust the time. There are two buttons behind the clock, one forward and one backward.
In addition, the installation of the tachometer sensor on a diesel generator set requires certain skills. In order to let users understand, the following is the installation method of the speed sensor of the diesel generator set: 1. The distance between the sensor and the flywheel of the diesel generator set is too far or too close. Generally, this distance is about 2.5 + 0.3mm. If the distance is too far, the signal may not be sensed, and if it is too close, the working surface of the sensor may be worn. Because the flywheel will move radially (or axially) during high-speed operation, the distance is too close, which poses a great threat to the safety of the sensor. It has been found that the working surface of several probes has been scratched. According to practical experience, the distance is generally about 2mm, which can be measured with a feeler gauge. 2. Due to the vibration of the sensor mounting bracket during the operation of diesel generator set, the measurement signal is inaccurate, the alternating magnetic field changes irregularly, resulting in the fluctuation of speed indication. Treatment method: reinforce the support and weld it with the diesel engine body. 3. The oil thrown out by the flywheel sticks to the working surface of the sensor, which has a certain impact on the measurement results. If an oil shield is installed on the flywheel, good results can be achieved. 4. The failure of speed transmitter makes the output signal unstable, resulting in the fluctuation of speed indication or even no speed indication. Moreover, due to its unstable operation and poor contact of connector, the misoperation of electrical overspeed protection will be triggered. For this purpose, the input frequency signal of the frequency generator can be used to verify the speed transmitter, and the terminal shall be fastened. Since the speed transmitter is controlled by PLC microcomputer, it can be readjusted or replaced if necessary.
