how to test rudder angle indicator
The rudder angle indication system of rudder angle indicator is composed of a rudder angle transmitter, a signal converter and six rudder angle meters. It is mainly used to indicate the rudder angle in the rudder room, central control room, cab and its two wings, and transmit the rudder angle signal to VDR (rudder signal data recorder).
According to relevant requirements, the rudder angle indicator shall be subject to quality inspection and testing . The inspection contents are as follows:
1. Quality control effectiveness inspection
According to the manufacturer's quality management regulations, inspect, supervise and inspect the efficiency of quality control of various departments and teams, so as to ensure the quality of parts and components and the performance of the overall product.
2. Inspection of integrity and effectiveness of testing and testing equipment and measuring instruments
Check whether all kinds of testing equipment in the factory are regularly verified and whether the accuracy range meets the testing requirements. Whether the integrity and accuracy of the equipment meet the requirements.
3. Product performance inspection
Inspect the appearance, indication error, lighting, temperature rise, vibration and other quality and performance. Generally, all tests will not be done, but only some will be done. In case of individual quality problems, the maintenance shall focus on supervision and inspection.
4. Inspection of purchased and outsourced parts
Inspect the parts not produced by our factory, including potentiometer, transistor, indicator light, glass, etc. Check whether it meets the corresponding technical standards, marine standards and the requirements of the whole machine.
The rudder angle indication system needs to be tested after installation to ensure its normal operation:
1. The installation bolts of each equipment foot shall be correct and fastened.
2. The wiring of all equipment, centralized control console and rack control console shall be correct and fastened, and the core wire shall be sleeved with wire number sleeve.
3. The three rudder gauges in the cab are equipped with red clips for fixing the pointer during transportation. Carefully remove the red clips.
4. The rudder angle transmitter is installed on the center line of the steering gear. The length of the short connecting rod of the rudder angle transmitter is generally 470mm and the length of the steering gear side is 1410mm. The two connecting rods should be parallel to the bow direction, and the long connecting rod and short connecting rod are perpendicular to each other. The nut locking plate for adjusting the length of long connecting rod and short connecting rod shall be clamped.
