mechanical oil temp gauge summit

The reasons why the oil temp gauge reaches the summit are as follows:

1.The oil storage is too small, resulting in no or less oil in the lubrication system, resulting in low oil pressure;

2.Dirty or viscous oil makes the oil pump unable to effectively suck in and pump out the oil, resulting in low or no pressure of the oil;

3.Thin oil or thin oil due to high engine temperature will leak from the clearance of each friction pair of the engine;

4.Oil leakage of oil pipe, damage of oil pump or excessive wear of its parts will reduce the suction and pumping capacity of oil;

5.The clearance between the crankshaft and the large and small bearings exceeds the standard, resulting in oil leakage;

6.The spring of pressure limiting valve or pressure relief valve is too soft or jammed or the steel ball is damaged, resulting in the disappearance or weakening of the function of the valve;

7.Oil sensing plug, pressure gauge or circuit failure.

For the oil temp gauge summit you can also check the water temp gauge:

1. The thermostat is broken, that is to say, when the water temperature is high, the thermostat cannot be opened, the coolant circulates in a small range, and the water temperature rises rapidly until it sprays out. If it is not handled quickly, the engine cylinder gasket will be exposed. This kind of fault is also easy to distinguish. There is a thick pipe between the engine and the radiator. This pipe is the channel for the coolant to flow between the engine and the radiator. The thermostat is broken and the water temperature is high. The surface temperature of this pipe is not very high. Try it by hand. If the temperature is not high, the thermostat is generally broken.

2. When the temperature sensor is broken, everything is normal. When the temperature sensor is broken, the display of the water temperature gauge is abnormal.

3. The thermometer is broken. But because I didn't see the car, I didn't even know it was produced that year. When the fan belt is not loose and there is no shortage of coolant, personal judgment should be that there is a problem with the thermostat. The function of the thermostat is to automatically adjust the amount of water entering the radiator according to the temperature of the cooling water and change the circulation range of water, so as to adjust the heat dissipation capacity of the cooling system and ensure that the engine works within the appropriate temperature range.
