For motorcycles, the wiring is very simple, with only four leads: red, black, yellow and green.

1. The red line is the power line of the tachometer. Since the clock of the tachometer needs to work continuously, the red line must be powered at all times and can be connected behind the power fuse.

2. Black wire, the ground wire of the tachometer, can be connected to any grounding wire.

3. Yellow line, tachometer working line, after the yellow line is powered on, all parts of the tachometer start to work, and the light on the panel is on. The yellow wire is connected to the power line behind the ignition key switch. After turning on the key switch, the tachometer starts to work.

4.The green line is the signal line of the tachometer and connected to the trigger signal end of the igniter.

Because the tachometer clock needs to work continuously and consumes about 17mA of current, it is insignificant for the car battery, but for motorcycle users , it should be noted that if it does not work for a long time, a 7Ah motorcycle battery can theoretically last 17 days. If there are other appliances such as alarm in your car, the working time will be shortened , Therefore, if the motorcycle is not used for a long time or the business trip is long, the safety tube should be removed to maintain the battery powe r. The visibility of the tachometer installed exposed to the sun will be poor, so try to avoid direct sunlight during installation, and do some appropriate rain water treatment at the same time.
