what would cause my speedometer and tachometer to stop working

What would cause my  tachometer to stop working:

1. There are foreign objects in the dashboard: Due to these foreign objects, the pointer inside the tachometer cannot rotate normally. Solution: It is recommended to go to the repair shop or 4S store to open the instrument cover and remove foreign objects.
2. Tachometer pointer malfunction: The pointer inside the tachometer has fallen or is stuck, causing the tachometer to fail to rotate. Solution: It is recommended to go to the repair shop or 4S store to replace the tachometer pointer.
3. Circuit fault: The circuit inside the tachometer has a fault, which is likely due to burning or aging. Solution: It is recommended to check and repair the tachometer circuit at a repair shop or 4S store.
4. Soft shaft failure: The soft shaft inside the tachometer is broken or cannot be connected, which will also cause the tachometer to not move. Solution: It is recommended to go to the repair shop or 4S store to replace the tachometer flexible shaft.
5. Sensor failure: When the vehicle's wheel speed sensor and mileage sensor fail, the instrument cluster cannot receive the correct wheel speed signal, and the tachometer naturally cannot indicate data correctly. Solution: It is recommended to go to a repair shop or 4S store for sensor inspection and repair.
6. Speedometer malfunction in the instrument assembly: The speedometer is a front component of the tachometer, which may be due to a malfunction in the speedometer in the vehicle's instrument assembly, which can also cause the tachometer to malfunction. Solution: It is recommended to check and repair the speedometer at a repair shop or 4S store.

What would cause my speedometer to stop working:
1. Most of the reasons are due to damage to the speed sensor.
2. The wire at the transmission connection may be broken.
3. The possibility is that there is a problem with the grounding. The clip at the connection between the road code meter and the gearbox is loose.

Troubleshooting method: There are two situations where the speedometer does not move: one is when it does not move at 0, which usually indicates a broken or short circuit; Another scenario is to remain stationary at the highest point, which is commonly referred to as running out of gauge and resetting it. If it stays at 0 and the mileage number does not change, it is highly likely that there is a problem with the speed sensor or the wiring between the instrument panel and the sensor. It can be repaired.
