universal car fuel gauge level sensor

The function of the car oil level sensor is to detect the amount of oil in the mailbox. The principle of the oil level sensor is as follows: 1. Generally, it is a sliding rheostat, and the resistance value is controlled by a float. As the amount of oil increases, the resistance value also changes. Under the condition of a fixed loading voltage, the output current changes. The current value is reflected on the car instrument panel and converted into gasoline fuel according to a certain proportion.; 2. Generally, due to the irregularity of the fuel tank, the resistance change of the rheostat is not regular. It depends on which manufacturer's oil level sensor you are using. Generally, traditional oil level sensors are controlled by floats, which is the type mentioned by a friend above. Our company's universal car fuel gauge level sensor uses the principle of capacitance, which has positioning and mileage calculation functions; 3. The oil level measurement and alarm functions can also provide real-time information on the temperature of the car's mailbox, fan temperature, acceleration, and other measurements. Here, we mainly talk about the measurement and monitoring of car oil level (oil level monitoring).

How does the oil gauge display the amount of oil? It is connected to a metal rod through a floating ball in the fuel tank. This principle is similar to the toilet water tank in the bathroom. The end of the metal rod connected to the floating ball is connected to a variable resistor through a movable contact point. The position of the floating ball on the oil level in the fuel tank will also change its position on the variable resistor through the metal rod.And this variable resistor will be connected to the car's fuel gauge, and the movement of the fuel gauge pointer will be controlled by the magnitude of the variable resistor's electrical flow rate.

If it's some older cars, it's likely a problem with the oil float, also known as the oil level sensor. So we can check whether the plug of the oil level sensor on the fuel tank is loose and whether it is oxidized or corroded; Observe whether the oil level sensor is stuck during the sliding process. If there is no problem with the oil level sensor, it is highly likely that there is a problem with the oil gauge circuit on the instrument panel. At this point, the instrument panel should be removed, and a multimeter and pin should be used to locate the corresponding oil gauge circuit on the instrument panel for testing.
