There is a red area on the tachometer. Generally speaking, the red area will be more than 6000 revolutions.
In the early days, the red zone was set on the tachometer, but now, due to the development of automotive technology, the engine protection mechanism is relatively sound. If the engine is in the extreme working state, the fuel protection measures will generally be cut off. But some High performance vehicles or low-end manual transmission vehicles have a relatively high bearing capacity on the engine, which also needs to be judged according to the safety zone.
The tachometer can check the gear shifting condition of the gearbox, and the manual gear model can also switch gears according to the tachometer to select the appropriate shift time. The engine speed will decrease when the transmission of automatic transmission vehicle is upshifted; When the transmission downshifts, the engine speed will increase. We can judge whether the transmission works normally by checking the shift speed of the transmission.
