How to check:

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the power line of the oil meter, the ground line and the floating connection line of the fuel tank. The red pen is connected to the power line of the oil meter, and the black pen is connected to the other two. It is found that these three lines should be connected. Generally, the resistance between the power line and the ground line is slightly larger than the one connected to the oil meter. Remove the float from the fuel tank and unplug it from the wiring harness, connect the two lines of the float with the two test pens of the multimeter, and then move the height of the float up and down. At this time, the resistance of the multimeter should change.
