The boat fuel gauge not accurate is mainly related to the contamination of the oil float by impurities in the oil tank and the long-time power on of the oil level sensor. 1. The oil float is polluted by impurities in the oil tank: all oil floats sold and used in the current market are exposed thick film contact oil level sensors, that is, the core key parts are exposed. It is directly immersed in the liquid added to the fuel tank. As the number of refuelling increases, the sundries in the fuel tank will naturally become more and more, and it will be slowly polluted. 2. Long time power on of oil level sensor: the oil float is powered on for a long time in an environment full of sundries in the oil tank, which will cause a thin film to form on the two contacts of the oil float and the surface of the white substrate resistor, or even completely corrode the guide strip on the white substrate. Generally, there will be at least 35 guide strips on the white substrate. As long as one of them is broken, the indication of the oil gauge will be abnormal.

The display of the boat oil gauge is inaccurate in three ways: the pointer of the oil gauge is fast and slow, the oil gauge suddenly drops to zero, and the scale of the oil gauge rises. There are several possible reasons for inaccurate fuel gauge: The dashboard of the car is damaged. If it is confirmed that the failure is caused by the parts in the instrument panel, we can repair the instrument panel or replace it with a new one. The oil level sensor inside the oil tank is damaged, and the detection signal of the oil tank display sensor is distorted. It is recommended to directly replace it with a new oil level sensor.
