The working principle of the electric oil pressure gauge is the engine oil pressure sensor: 1. There is a sliding resistance in the oil pressure sensor. How to debug the electric oil pressure gauge with sender:
During the normal operation of the vehicle, the pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge is lower than the specified value (minimum about 147kPa). When the engine is just started, the indicated reading of the oil pressure gauge is normal, and then quickly drops to about zero.Reasons for low engine oil pressure: ①Insufficient engine oil; ②The gasoline pump diaphragm is damaged, causing gasoline to leak into the oil pan, diluting the engine oil; ③The cylinder gasket is blocked or the cylinder is cracked, and the cooling water leaks into the oil pan, causing the oil to leak. Emulsification and deterioration; ④The filter screen of the oil collector is blocked by dirt, or there is leakage in the connecting pipe and oil passage, and other parts such as the rocker shaft end cover fall off, causing oil leakage; ⑤The gear end face of the oil pump is worn or poorly adjusted; ⑥The fit gap between the crankshaft bush, connecting rod bush and eccentric bush and its journal is too large; ⑦The pressure limiting valve of the oil pump is stuck by dirt and cannot be closed; ⑧The oil sensor of other models is misused; ⑨The sensor and the oil pressure gauge are broken; ⑩Incorrect installation of the oil alarm sensor; or missing or loosening of the fuel injector of the timing gear.
The drop of engine oil pressure is a signal of some kind of failure, which is often not solved by adjustment. The cause of the failure should be carefully found out and then eliminated. When the red engine oil pressure warning light on the instrument panel is on, you must immediately stop and check to avoid expanding mechanical accidents. Generally, first check whether the oil sensor, oil pressure gauge and the end cover of the rocker arm shaft on the cylinder head are blocked; repair. When checking the oil pressure gauge, first remove the wire of the oil sensor, turn on the ignition switch, and ground the removed wire to the cylinder block. If the needle of the oil gauge deflects to the end, it means that the oil gauge is good; if the needle does not move or the deflection is very small , indicating that the oil gauge is invalid; if the oil gauge is good, the oil sensor should be removed from the cylinder, the oil hole should be blocked with cotton yarn, and the engine should be started briefly.
