How to fix the fuel level sensor ? Before removing the fuel level sensor, drain the fuel in the fuel tank with a manual pump or siphon method. Remove the negative battery cable. Withdraw the trunk carpet and remove the fuel tank gasket retainer. Unplug the electrical wiring connector from the sensor. Loosen the cap nut and pull the fuel level sensor up and back out of the tank. Install and fix in the reverse order of removal It is worth noting that when installing the cover nut, two type sealing rings shall be placed, and the lug on the flange surface of the sensor shall be ensured to be downward.
It is very convenient to remove the fuel tank level sensor. First, pour out the oil in the fuel tank before removal, then raise the rear of the car and support it with a support platform, and then remove the relevant parts. Pay attention to blocking the hose orifice and oil outlet of the fuel tank with a clean cloth. The following is to remove the electrical wire connector of the fuel tank oil level sensor, pull the wire away from the wire head, unscrew the fuel tank fixing nut, slowly lift the fuel tank and pull out the oil drain hose. In this way, the fuel tank level sensor can be removed.
Drain the fuel in the fuel tank by siphon or manual pump. Lift the vehicle from the rear of the vehicle and support it on the support bench. Remove the negative battery cable. Remove the fuel supply pipe and return pipe from the bottom of the vehicle and the exhaust hose from the fuel tank opening, then block the hose opening and oil outlet with a clean cloth, and remove the large rubber pad from the fuel tank outlet. Take out the carpet in the trunk, disassemble the gasket retainer of the fuel tank, then remove the gasket, disassemble the electrical wire connector of the fuel tank oil level sensor, pull the wire from the wire head, screw down the fixing nut of the fuel tank, slowly lift the fuel tank and pull out the oil drain hose, lift the fuel tank up with a certain clearance, and then take it out of the trunk backward. When the fuel tank is removed, loosen the fuel filter at the outlet of the fuel supply hose of the fuel tank, clean the oil filter and check it for damage. Replace it if necessary. If the oil tank is rusted or has leakage, it should be repaired or replaced.
