how to wire fuel level gauge

The wiring method of fuel level gauge is as follows:

When the automobile circuit is cut off after flameout, the sensor of the oil tank does not work, and the oil gauge should be reset to zero. There are three cases if it does not return to zero;

1. The design of the car is to show the oil level in the oil tank when the power is on and off, and the pointer corresponds to its position.

2. After the fuel tank sensor of the car is powered on, the oil needle of the oil gauge indicates the oil level. If the circuit is short circuited [turn off the circuit, the oil sensor still has the pointer of the oil gauge at the high point] or open circuit [turn on the switch key, the sensor has no electricity, and the oil gauge still returns to zero], the oil gauge works abnormally.

3. The oil gauge is broken, the sensor shaft is stuck, the oil floats, corrodes and leaks inaccurately.

There are two types of oil level sensors: one is to use the sliding potentiometer as the basic detection element, which drives the potentiometer by the float and then uses the ohmmeter to detect its resistance value, so as to achieve the purpose of displaying the oil level. However, when the oil dirt covers the potentiometer, its resistance value will change, resulting in too large error and even can not be used, making this kind of oil tank sensor a vulnerable part with very short service life. The other is to use inductive coil as the basic detection element. It uses the float to drive the inductance coil, change the oscillation frequency of the oscillation circuit, and then detect its frequency through the frequency meter to measure the oil level.

Most of the oil level sensors are installed in the automobile fuel tank. If the oil level sensor fails, the oil will not be enough and it may not be clear. Sensors include air flow sensor, intake air temperature sensor, idle speed sensor, throttle position sensor, engine oil temperature sensor, engine oil pressure sensor, knock sensor, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, water temperature sensor, oxygen sensor, etc.
