1. Open the rear seat and remove the fuel tank cover. Remove the oil drain pump and half assembly. Behind the copilot is the oil pump. When removing the oil pump pipe, first remove the green fixing buckle, and then there is a buckle on the pipe. Press both sides inward at the same time, and pull out the pipe forcibly.
2. Take out the oil pump and replace it with a new main oil float. Take out the half assembly, replace the auxiliary oil float, and replace the float in the direction shown in the figure.
3.Put back the main oil pump and pay attention to the line not to block the fluctuation of the black plastic float. Once blocked, the oil gauge will be inaccurate. Install the half assembly. Because the inside of the oil tank is irregular, if the orientation is wrong, the float will get stuck in the oil tank and cannot rise and fall normally, which will also cause inaccurate oil gauge. The float must be at a 90 degree right angle to the rear of the vehicle. There are also marks on the half assembly and oil tank, so it can be aligned. At the same time, pay attention that the line does not hinder the float's lifting.
How to measure the oil pressure of Mercedes engine
1. Unplug the harness plug of the Benz engine oil pressure sensor and remove the oil pressure sensor.
2. Screw the hose connector of the oil pressure gauge into the screw hole where the oil pressure sensor is installed and tighten the connector.
3. Place the oil pressure gauge at a place where it will not touch the rotating parts and high-temperature parts of the engine.
4. Start the engine and check whether there is oil leakage at the oil pressure gauge connector. If there is oil leakage, stop the engine and retighten it connector.
5. Run the engine to reach the normal operating temperature, and check the oil at idle speed and 2000 rpm respectively. The reading of the pressure gauge shall be compared with the standard pressure value.
6. The engine oil pressure standards of various models are not the same. Generally, it should be greater than 0.05MPa, greater than 0.2MPa at 2000 revolutions per second.
7. After measuring the oil pressure, remove the oil pressure gauge, install the oil pressure sensor and tighten it according to the specified torque, connect the wire harness plug, and start the engine to confirm that the oil pressure sensor has no oil leakage. So the engine oil pressure of Benz is tested.
