oil pressure gauge fluctuates from high to low

1. Excessive wear of gears. The fluctuating high and low oil pressure may be due to the excessive wear of the gears of the oil pump, which need to be replaced with new gears.

2. The screw falls off. The fixing screw of the oil pump falls off, causing the oil pump to suck air, and the fixing screw needs to be tightened.

3. The spring is stuck. The spring of the regulating valve or return valve is bent due to being stuck by foreign matter, and the spring rubs against the seat hole, so the foreign matter needs to be removed in time.

4. Insufficient engine oil. Insufficient engine oil in the oil sump results in a decrease in the pump oil volume of the oil pump, and it is necessary to add engine oil as required.

5. Oil pipe is blocked. The oil pipe is blocked by foreign matter, and the oil pump cannot absorb oil, and the oil pressure will become high or low, and the oil pipe needs to be cleaned.

6. The pressure limiting valve is not adjusted properly. Improper adjustment or sticking of the pressure limiting valve will cause the oil pressure to fluctuate, and the pressure limiting valve needs to be repaired.

7. The oil pressure gauge is damaged. If the oil pressure gauge is damaged and the oil pressure changes, it needs to be replaced with a new one.

8. The filter screen is blocked. Incorrect installation of the filter screen of the collector filter or clogging by impurities will lead to unstable oil pressure. It is necessary to follow the filter screen in the correct way or replace it with a new one.

9. Oil deterioration. If the engine oil has not been changed for a long time, the oil will deteriorate, which will also cause the oil pressure to fluctuate, and new oil needs to be replaced.

10. The induction plug is damaged. Ground the oil sensor plug. If the pointer of the oil pressure gauge does not move, it means that the sensor plug is damaged and needs to be replaced with a new one.First of all, you should check whether the oil pump is working properly, if not, it needs to be replaced or repaired. Second, you should check whether the oil filter needs to be replaced to ensure that the oil flow is normal. Finally, the oil circuit needs to be checked for blockage or other damage to ensure the oil is circulating properly. If none of the above methods can solve the problem, it is recommended to consult a professional auto maintenance technician for further maintenance.
