oil temp gauge dipstick for harley what is full mark

Use the dipstick to check the engine oil of the motorcycle. Generally, the dipstick is inserted and then taken out, rather than screwed and installed. As long as the oil level is between the upper and lower scales, if the oil is located in area a, do not add oil. If the oil is located in area B, you can add oil. If the oil is located in area C, you must add oil. Note that area B is what we usually call the pitting area, area a is from the top of the pitting to the bending part of the dipstick, and area C is from the bottom of the pitting to the bending part of the dipstick.

How to check Harley is full mark:

First screw on the dipstick to see whether there is oil or whether the oil is black. If it is little or very dark, you should add new oil. Open the oil dipstick, turn the oil dipstick counterclockwise, take out the oil dipstick, wipe it clean, take out the oil dipstick, wipe it clean with cloth or paper towel, and put the oil dipstick back in place.

Wipe the dipstick clean and put it back. Pay attention, don't tighten it at this time, just put it in. Check the engine oil, take out the oil dipstick, have a look, and put out the old engine oil. If it really needs to be replaced, put out the old engine oil, and then add the new engine oil.
Whether the motorcycle should change oil:

1. If you are experienced in engine oil, you can see whether the engine oil is black, dirty or not. If it is black and dirty, you need to change the engine oil. Take out the oil dipstick and smell it close to your nose. If there is a strong sour smell, it means that the oil has deteriorated and should be replaced.

2. Look at the viscosity of the oil, drop the oil on your hand with an oil dipstick, twist it back and forth with two fingers, and feel that there is no special lubrication, impurities and a little astringent. At this time, you need to change the oil. If it is particularly smooth and has no friction, you don't need to change it.

3. Color discrimination method: take a clean white filter test paper (better facial tissue paper can be used), drop some old engine oil on the paper, and wait for the oil to leak. The engine oil with good quality is powder free, dry and smooth by hand, and the Yellow soakage zone is clear. It is dark dark brown with impurities and should be replaced.
