why does the oil pressure gauge fluctuate
Reasons why the pointer of the oil pressure gauge fluctuate a lot:
1. The oil pressure of the engine is unstable. First check whether there is a problem with the oil pressure sensor, the line is in contact, etc., then check whether the oil pump is damaged, and finally check whether the oil circuit is blocked;
2. The viscosity of the engine oil is too low; the filter screen of the oil filter or the filter element of the oil filter is blocked;
3. The elastic force of the pressure limiting valve and the oil return valve spring is weakened or broken, or the joint surface of the valve is not tightly sealed, resulting in oil leakage and pressure relief;
4. The main bearing or connecting rod bearing clearance is too large; 5. The oil pump is not working well.
It should be that the oil pressure of the engine is unstable. Check the sensor and wiring problems, and then check the oil pump and whether the oil circuit is blocked.
It may be caused by unstable oil pressure. Go to the 4S shop to check whether it is a circuit problem, a sensor, or an oil pump.
Oil pressure can usually also be measured with a hydraulic gauge. When the oil pressure increases, the oil pressure bends the diaphragm through the lubricating oil channel interface, and the diaphragm pushes the sliding arm into the low resistance position, increasing the output current of the circuit.
On the contrary, the diaphragm pushes the sliding arm into the high resistance position, reducing the output current of the circuit, and finally the oil pressure is indicated by the pointer in the oil pressure gauge.
1. The engine oil storage is too small, resulting in no oil or less oil in the lubrication system, resulting in low oil pressure. The solution: add oil.
2. The oil is dirty or viscous, so that the oil pump cannot effectively suck and pump out the oil, resulting in low or no pressure of the oil. The solution: change the oil.
3. If the oil is thin or the oil becomes thin due to high engine temperature, it will leak from the gaps of the friction pairs of the engine, resulting in low oil pressure. Solution: change the oil or overhaul the cooling system.
