fuel level sensor how it works

The sensing part of the capacitive oil level sensor is a coaxial container . When the oil enters the container , the capacitance between the sensor shell and the induction electrode changes . This change is converted by the circuit and accurately compensated for linearity and temperature, and the 4-20mA standard signal is output to the display instrument . The size of the circuit current reflects the level of the oil level. The sliding potentiometer is used as the basic detection element . The potentiometer is driven by the float, and then the resistance value is detected by the ohmmeter , so as to achieve the purpose of displaying the oil level . Adjust the position of the sensor by the pressure area .

Oil level sensor is what we usually call fuel float. Simulate the detection of fuel level by detecting sliding resistance . The following methods can be used for measurement . Drain all the fuel in the fuel tank , measure the resistance of the sensor with a multimeter when the whole vehicle is powered on , find a thin steel wire on the float in the fuel tank to hook it , pull it up and down slowly and evenly , and observe the change of its resistance value at the same time, to see if there is any electric resistance swinging in a large direction instantly . If there is , it indicates that the sensor is damaged .

What is the good principle of the oil level sensor of the oil tank ? Can you guarantee safety ? It adopts capacitive type , without mechanical structure, with high reliability and long service life . The sensor is a part that detects the position (height) of the oil in the container by changing the capacitance between the sensor shell and the induction electrode after the oil enters the container , and transforming this change into a current change .

It adopts military grade components , full digital sampling , and no AD conversion. It is a real digital liquid level sensor . It does not need manual intervention, automatic calibration, no temperature drift, and is not affected by the medium. That is to say , no matter the measured medium is water, gasoline or diesel, no matter how the temperature changes , it can correctly output accurate liquid level height signals.
