fuel level sensor installation

Fuel level sensor installation : First, open the fuel tank filler. Observe the approximate position of the sensor of the oil tank and the internal partition. Determine the position of the hole. Drill holes in the oil tank. Through the hole with iron wire. Put the sensor into the tank. Apply diesel resistant sealant around the small hole, screw on the large nut, connect the wire, apply some sealant at the sealing part, and tighten the cap. Arrange the harness and complete the installation .

The oil level sensor is located in the oil tank. The failure of the oil level sensor will cause the failure of the automobile oil gauge. The specific performance is as follows: the scale of the oil gauge is fast and slow. The scale of the oil gauge is fast and slow, especially in the first half of the scale, the decline is relatively slow, but it is almost twice as fast in the second half The scale of the oil gauge suddenly drops to zero: it is often seen before driving that there are still two grids left on the oil gauge, but the scale of the oil gauge will directly drop to zero after driving for a certain distance. The scale of the oil gauge rises: the pointer of the oil gauge stays at a certain position all the time, and even after driving for a certain distance, the value displayed on the scale increases instead of decreasing .

The disassembly and assembly method of oil level sensor in some vehicles is to open the rear seat . Take out the oil pump and replace the new main oil float. Take out the half assembly, replace the auxiliary oil float, replace the float according to the orientation on the drawing, and install it back into the main oil pump. Pay attention that the wire does not hinder the sinking and floating of the black plastic float. Once obstructed, the inaccurate oil gauge will be affected. Replace the half assembly.

Because the inside of the oil tank is irregular, if the orientation is wrong, the float will be stuck in the oil tank and cannot sink and float normally, which will also cause inaccurate oil gauge. It must be that the float is 90 degrees right angle facing the rear of the vehicle. There are also marks on the half assembly and the oil tank, which can be aligned. At the same time, pay attention not to hinder the float from sinking and floating.
