How the engine oil pressure warning light works

When the oil pressure is low, when the engine is stopped, or when the oil pressure is lower than the specified value, the contacts in the oil pressure switch are closed, and the oil pressure warning light is on.
When the oil pressure is high
When the engine is started, or when the oil pressure is higher than the specified value, the oil pressure pushes the diaphragm inside the oil pressure switch. As a result, the contacts are opened and the oil pressure warning light goes out. There are roughly four reasons for the car oil pressure warning light to light up, which are lack of oil, wrong oil viscosity, engine mechanical failure and damage to the sensor itself.If the lights on,check the oil pressure sensor itself if is damaged.
